Students and staff from both GVSU AND Grand Rapids Community College can use their student ID to get into Maker Faire for free this weekend.
As a partner of Maker Faire GR, GVSU students and staff simply need to show their college ID to be admitted free of charge at any ticket booth this weekend to see Maker Faire Grand Rapids.
“We became an event partner to show support for local inventors and to promote creativity and innovation,” said Wael Mokhtar, director of the School of Engineering at GVSU. “With more than 5,000 visitors during the two-day event, it’s a unique opportunity for Grand Valley to connect with the community.”
Through an ongoing partnership, students from GRCC are welcomed FREE to the GRPM (and Maker Faire) every day! For more information, visit grpm.org/admission.
The Grand Rapids Mini Maker Faire will take place at both the Grand Rapids Public Museum and downtown GVSU’s Kennedy Engineering Building on Saturday, August 20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, August 21, from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Attendees may get tickets at either location which provide admission to both locations. Tickets may also be purchased online by ticking the “tickets” tab on this site.
See you there!
